"You Make the Darkness Tremble"

     Tremble is one of those songs that I fell in love with the very first time I heard it. It has such a powerful and fresh message that I need to hear on a daily bases. Everyday I need to be reminded of the incredible name of Jesus. The name that makes the darkness tremble. The name that silences fear. The name of the one who saved me. I love it! That name is what I live for. 

     As long as I can remember, I've dreamed of living for the name of Jesus by saving orphans in Africa. As I grew older, that dream started to die. The daunting reality of living in a foreign land, so far from home, began to eliminate that dream. I knew I was called to ministry but my future ideas started to shift toward the States. Notice I said "My" idea. Not God's.

    As I was in worship one Sunday, I really felt like the Lord whispered that I needed to leave to States and spend two months in Africa. With just a whisper, I was yanked out of my rebellious, comfortable thoughts of how I wanted to spend my life. So I excitedly shared this with my family, and started looking for an opportunity to go. Turns out, there's a missions school in Mozambique, Africa. It's a two month program. Just about the time I was thinking of before I even knew about the school!

     So that's my first step towards my "saving orphans in Africa" dream. The crazy thing is, even though this has always been on my heart, I still have doubts. I look around and see all of my peeps and I never want to leave them! I think about being so far from home for so long and it makes me sad. I think about how crazy this is! But I have to correct myself. God. The God of the universe has a plan for me. I know it's so much greater than any silly plan I could ever come up with!

    That doesn't mean it's going to be easy. As a matter of fact, it's probably going to be one of the hardest things that I will ever do. But I'm not worried. My King has it all under control. I am so excited to see what God is going to do in my future because here is nothing that he can't do, can I get an "amen"?

    So what about you? Does God have a crazy awesome plan for your life? (The answer is YES) I pray for everyone reading this, that you will let go of your life plans and let God take over. I pray that God will take you by the hand and lead you to places you never thought you could go and see thing you never thought you could see. He will always be with you. You may go through some dark times and must remember, that the name of Jesus makes the darkness tremble!
